Work Overview
We designed a centralized monitoring interface that organizes the chaos of Cloud Watch's data streams while making their technical metrics readable to a diverse team, The UI needed to handle massive data loads while staying clean. Since 2015, Cloud Watch has been gathering server metrics in their San Francisco hub.
While their backend for logging and alerts was robust, their frontend dashboard didn't manage the density of information well or allow engineers to quickly spot the root cause of errors.

DevOps teams often had to switch between multiple open tabs to correlate logs with sudden performance spikes. This increased their downtime response and made it stressful for on-call staff to debug complex issues. Text-heavy log files couldn't reveal the visual of their complex system traffic.

We engineered a modular dashboard system that visualizes the Cloud Watch data streams clearly, The interface features customizable widgets, dark mode options, and intelligent graphing that help developers see exactly when and where a system breaks down.
